EMP will be releasing their 18650 batteries collection this upcoming spring time and we are super excited about bringing you 100% fully tested batteries. All of our batteries are tested individually per cell before we build the complete battery pack. This is very important as in terms of the battery pack your system is only as good as your weakest cell. Here's our battery tester that all of our 18650's go through.
Here is a list of batteries coming up for sale: all under $$$500$$$
Most E bike batteries have around 40 cells in side of the complete battery pack. The reason why it is important for each cell to be tested is to ensure the battery has the correct life expectancy. If all the battery cells are rated at around 3000 mAh per cell but there is one cell that is only 2500 mAh then the BMS will do everything in its power to protect the weakest cell (2500 mAh). At EMP we make sure that all cells are paired together before we start to build the complete battery. The other down fall of having untested cells inside of your battery pack is that the weaker cell will make the other cells work harder and will degrade the other working cell over time.
Protect your investment! Purchase a fully tested EMP battery pack!

@Edward – We’ve rebuilt those at 24V 15Ah, converting them to lithium ion: https://www.ebikemarketplaceshop.com/blogs/news/izip-enlightened-e-bike-battery-cell-replacement
Whats the best option for izip tails 24 volts/10 amp replacement or upgrade with one battery pack dead?
Can you use 2 12v acid batteries with more amps for more power?
@Joel – You can find more info on our E-moto rebuilds here: https://www.ebikemarketplaceshop.com/products/e-moto-rebuild-batteries
I need a new battery or a rebuild for my E-Moto bike, the old battery will not take a charge.
@Jim – We’d be happy to take a look at your Schwinn Tailwind batteries. We can try to revive them or do a full rebuild.
I have a couple of Schwinn Tailwinds – the batteries were stored for ~1.5 years and appear to have gone to sleep; worked fine before that. Can these be revived?
Hi Ali, we’d certainly be happy to help with that. We will be in touch with more information.
I have a “eZip” bicycle,that works intermittent.
Would like to find the problem more than likely the batteries, and possibly upgrade to a lithium battery.
Appreciate your help.
Hi Roger, We typically don’t recommend changing the voltage of your battery since the controller and motor should be matched to it. We will be in touch regarding some options though.
I have a 2016 Rad River and would like to rebuild and upgrade my 48v battery to 52v. Is that a good idea and possibility? I ride the Vermont hills (1800 ft elevation changes daily) and need extra power.
Hi Nancy, we will be in touch about the options we can provide.
I have a Malibu emoto bike and the battery was stolen. I would like to buy a new one but can’t find a source. You rebuild but do you sell new ones? I don’t know the size The only information I have is the e Moto Malibu.
