IZIP E3 E-Bike Battery Replacement

IZIP's are one of the most popular brand of e-bikes. Many of their models utilize the Currie Technologies Electro Drive drivetrain system. If your battery is in need of service, give us a call. We can rebuild and repair these often upgrading the capacity in the process giving you longer range rides.

We have upgraded customer's batteries for the E3 Peak, E3 Sumo, and E3 Dash which utilize the battery that inserts into the downtube up to 48V 10.5Ah. These are usually the TranzX BL17 model. If you're looking for even more range, we can double the capacity with one of our 48V 17.5Ah Sea Lion batteries. We can also take care of the flat rear rack battery found in the E3 Zuma, E3 Path, or E3 Vibe models along with their other electric bikes.

Another common form factor is the downtube-integrated battery pack found in the E3 Protour line with the COBI system. These are paired with a TranzX motor and can also be upgraded to 48V 10.5Ah.

EBike Marketplace,

I have a 2015 Izip peak e3 mountain bike and the battery range has decreased to about half of the original. I’d like to restore original range, or better yet, increase it as much as possible. How much does it cost, what sort of range could I get with an upgrade (if possible), and how long would it take to get this done? Thanks!

Jeff Shelden,

@Peter – Email us the specifications and we’ll get you a good estimate.

EBike Marketplace,

@Patrick – We need your battery sent in to us and we’ll upgrade it so we’ll know it’ll fit back in your bike!

Peter ridge,

I have a 2015 Izip Dash with the original battery. I’d like to upgrade the battery capacity. Do I send in my battery to be upgraded or do I purchase a new battery from you? Also, I’m not that handy, how difficult is it to install?
