IZIP's are one of the most popular brand of e-bikes. Many of their models utilize the Currie Technologies Electro Drive drivetrain system. If your battery is in need of service, give us a call. We can rebuild and repair these often upgrading the capacity in the process giving you longer range rides.
We have upgraded customer's batteries for the E3 Peak, E3 Sumo, and E3 Dash which utilize the battery that inserts into the downtube up to 48V 10.5Ah. These are usually the TranzX BL17 model. If you're looking for even more range, we can double the capacity with one of our 48V 17.5Ah Sea Lion batteries. We can also take care of the flat rear rack battery found in the E3 Zuma, E3 Path, or E3 Vibe models along with their other electric bikes.
Another common form factor is the downtube-integrated battery pack found in the E3 Protour line with the COBI system. These are paired with a TranzX motor and can also be upgraded to 48V 10.5Ah.
We use fresh, grade A lithium ion battery cells and we have a variety of options to balance your budget with the performance you need. Our packs come with a full 12 month warranty. Give us a call or fill out our Battery Intake Form and let us get you back on your wheels. We'll even recycle your old battery for you!

I have a 2016 iZip E3 Dash with a 417WH battery that doesn’t hold its range like it used to. Same blue stripe battery pictured above. Can you send me the link for a battery replacement or rebuild? For a rebuild, what is the approximate turnaround time?
Thanks!
@David – Sorry, we do not carry spare iZip ProTour batteries.
I have an iZip Protour e3 / TranzX / COBI bike. I’m interested in purchasing a second battery as a spare (after seeing the grief my wife is experiencing with her Polaris Rail…)
Do you sell replacement batteries? My OEM battery is still working well. IZip has already discontinued this version of the bike, and I’m starting to worry about availability of a replacement battery when this one dies.
Thanks!
(And please let me know if you ever find a source for the Polaris BMS.)
@Jordon – We will be in touch with our recommendations!
I have a Zuma that has the factory rear rack 36volt battery…I purchased a waterbottle style battery to allow for better weight distribution and delete the rear rack battery. The waterbottle battery is a 36 volt with 2 cords. However, the factory rear rack battery has 4 prongs with 4 cords; 2 being larger guage so I’m assuming those are the leads to connect to the new waterbottle battery. However, what do I do with the 2 smaller guage wires? Is there a plug or switch I need? Thankyou
@Barton – We’ll be in touch with our current options!
I have 500 watt 48volt Currie hub motor. IZIP E3 Path Plus. The battery was defective and I got recycled it. Do you have a replacement? How much is it?
